The Timberline Team

In 2007, lifelong carpenter Bob Gula and his family moved to Tallahassee, Florida. As he became more involved with the community, Bob saw that many homeowners had a need for a particular type of furniture…for their gardens, patios, and backyards. Thus was born Timberline Garden Carpentry- a mixture of Adirondack chairs, potting benches, custom wooden fence work, and the occasional gazebo and trellis.

One client commissioned Bob to make a large farmhouse table, which sparked a whole new leg of the business: tables and other items perfect for the ever-present Tallahassee get-together. Whiskey barrel high-tops, vendor carts, and a one-of-a-kind mobile bar were created. After the farmhouse table was re-made (twenty times) for one of Bob’s daughter’s weddings, then re-used for his other daughter’s wedding, it occurred to the family: why not rent these tables and other items to other brides and event planners looking for furniture with that perfect Southern-rustic charm?

Since then, the rentals have taken off, with Timberline offering a variety of unique and distinctly farmhouse-garden items that can’t be found anywhere else in the Panhandle or South Georgia.

Designer - Builder - idea man

I’ve loved wood- the feel, the smell, the durability of it, and the cool things you can craft from it- since I was a boy. No matter what else I did, I always found myself drawn to building wood products, first for myself, then as Christmas gifts, and finally designing and creating beautiful, functional wood pieces for others.

A secret about me though, is that I also have an appreciation for the designs other people create. However, I don’t simply duplicate someone else’s ideas. I’ll start with their photo, like maybe from Pinterest, and add improvements to make it fit my taste and standards, often building it in my head overnight. Once that happens and I can see it fully built in my mind, the rest is easy!

Debbie specializes in making sure all details are in place for Timberline's clients. She assists with customer orders, scheduling deliveries, and coordinating payments. She won't rest until every customer is happy!

Logistics + Operations

When he’s not working on shift for the Tallahassee Fire Department or with his family, Tiebout can usually be found working various jobs in the community or with Bob constructing a new rental item, delivering rentals, or maintaining our current inventory.

 
 
 
 

Becky McCrea

Client Relations Assistant

Becky assists Debbie with Timberline’s client relationships, from communication to keeping the company calendar in order. As an event planner for the better part of a decade, Becky knows how to ensure each client receives the attention to detail they deserve for their event, no matter how big or small!

Kristin Tyler

Branding + Marketing

The only remote employee of Timberline, Kristin teaches middle school English in central Florida and runs a branding agency called Anchor + Odyssey on the side. She focuses on providing custom photography and social media marketing to small business owners around the country, and loves being a part of her family’s business!
